Police Beat 6/23/14: Thief selects golf clubs

Among the incidents recently reported by the Conway Police Department:

Commercial burglary at 5150 John Allison Rd.

Police responded to an alarm at Arkansas Golf Center. An employee pulled up security video, which revealed that someone had kicked in the door to the business and stolen a few golf clubs.

Motor vehicle theft on Verbena Drive

A resident reported Saturday that someone stole his 2011 Honda Accord from his driveway during the night. It was valued at $5,000.

Motor vehicle theft at the 3100 block of Irby Drive

A resident reported Saturday that someone stole his Suzuki Hayabusha motorcycle. It was valued at $14,000.

Residential burglary at the 3400 block of Irby Drive

A resident reported Friday that someone stole her 50-inch plasma flat screen television. It was valued at $400.

Theft on Earnhart Street

A Conway woman reported Friday that a man she knows borrowed an iPad, some computer software, a gold ring and a few antique items from her home and refused to return them. Total value was $1,550.

Breaking or entering at the 300 block of Ash Street

A resident reported Friday that someone broke into her vehicle and took her purse from the back seat. She reported she forgot to lock the doors.
